Why not think about others for a while, at least you'll make somebody happy once! Ugh, you disgust me so much, Chris, I don't even know why we dated..." I said."Fine, then we're over! As if you'll be my last boyfriend! But still, A dare's a dare, Nick, and you know that!" she answered back."Yeah, don't worry, I'll do the dare, as long as you're not my girlfriend anymore. DEAL?" I said."Deal, let's shake hands, ex-boyfriend, and let the dare begin." She said evilly. The we shaked hands. DEAL. Piece of cake.:)NICK'S POV (the next day at school)I tried to find Anna. But I didn't see her. Not once.Not in English. Not in lunch. Not even in the hallway. So it must mean that she didn't come to school today. Hmm. I wonder why.-After school-"Nick!" I heard some one shout.It was Christina. Figures."Nick! I have some not-so-good news!!!" She said."What is it?" I asked."Anna's mother just died. That's why she wasn't in school today." "What? That's awful!" "I know! How can you do the dare when she's not in school! Her mother's death is in the wrong timing!" She gasped."What the fuck, Christina. Her mother just died, and you're still thinking about that stupid dare!" I said."Fine. Ooo I'm so sad. Her mother just died. Whatever. The dare will be postponed. When she goes to school, that's when it'll start." She said."Whatever. I don't even know why I agreed to that!" I said."I don't know about you. Why don't you ask Lindsay why she made that dare for you. She's coming here right now.""Hi guys! How's it hangin'?" Lindsay said from behind me."Hey Lindsay! Nick has a question for you, right, Nick?" Christina said."Yeah, I do. Why did you even give me that dare?!" I said."What dare?" Lindsay asked, looking confused."The dare! The dare about Anna. Don't you remember?" "Oh!!! The dare! Now I remember!" She exclaimed."So? Why did you give me that?" I asked."Cuz, I wanted to see how she would react when a popular kid like you would admire her." She said."That's it? That's why you gave me that dare? To see her reaction?" "Well, yeah, is there a problem with that?" she asked."Yes, there's a problem with that! It's stupid, that's what it is.""Well, the if it stupid, why did you even bother to accept it?!""Because, well, I don't know!" I shouted."Uhm, guys, you're making a scene" Christina said."I don't care." I said."Uhm, Okay..."-AT the hospital-I woke up with a start. I had the worst dream ever!I dreamt that my mom was shot by my dad, and that when she was rushed to the hospital, she didn't make it!But, wait a minute, Why am I in the hospital???Suddenly, it all came back to me.It wasn't a nightmare. It wasn't just me dreaming. It was real.Everything in my dream happened. I quickly stood up, and then went to the receptionist. (Or whatever you call it)"Excuse me, but may I know where my mom is?" I asked her."And may I know what your mom's name is?" "Her name is Dory, Dory Simons." I said."Oh, you're her daughter, Anna, am I right?" "Yeah..""She's in room 304. Just in the end of that hallway." She said."Oh, okay, thank you."I went to room to 304. Outside the door, it said 'Morgue'. Right when I read that, my eyes began to water. I walked inside only to find a body covered in a white sheet and one doctor examining it.The doctor looked up and said "Are you Anna Simons?" He asked."Well, uhm, afraid so." I said."Have you heard about you're mother?" he asked."Apparently. Is that her?" "Yes. You will need to set up a burial for her. Does your dad know about this?" he asked."Well, He was the one, who, sorta, did this to her. The police are searching for him." I said."Oh, well, do you have any family members that I can talk about the burial?""I don't know, my parents never really introduced me, let alone cared." I answered."So you have no idea where they are? Not one?" he asked."Sorry, no." "Well, I'm sure we can figure something out about you're mom's burial. Anyway, I wish you the best. I will be back in an hour to check up on her."Then he went outside.I went near my mom.I pulled the covers of the sheet.That's when I saw her face. It was white. It was very pale. Her lips were very dry, and her eyes were deeply closed.But the one thing that stole my attention was the way she looked really peaceful. It was like all her problems disappeared.And for the first time since the day she was shot, I smiled.OKAY. Guys, sorry if there's STILL no mushy parts!But I wanted a bit of drama in her family first, so yeah.Sorry if this chapter took so long!
