PLEASE READ THISI would do an actual video of myself on this but it's late and I don't feel like doing that now. This is my 4th of July story:My dad, brother, and I go to a small city called Pismo Beach, which is a couple of miles south of San Luis Obisbo, which is a city almost directly between San Francisco and Los Angeles.Anyway, we go there for the good fireworks show at 9:00, but before that is the real show. People in the crowd light off fireworks of there own, from big to small, bright to dim, there is a huge variety of different fireworks. This year, we decided to join in on the fun. This year we decided to bring our own fireworks, and to be safe for ourselves and others, we went on the outskirts of the main beach and away from people. We lit off some little fountains and saturns missiles (fireworks that aren't very dangerous) and to our disappointing surprise, we see about 5 cops walking towards us.The cops took all the fireworks from our bag (about $500 worth) and gave us a ticket. Now think about it: we aren't near anyone, we are on a BEACH, with SAND, so if the fireworks don't hit the non-burnable sand, they'll hit the non-burnable ocean. The cops estimate a fine of $2,000. $2,000?! Are you kidding me? For fireworks?! Who in the right fucking mind would give a fine like that?!We left the beach to our not-so-surprising discovery that barely anyone had fireworks, because who would bring fireworks if they have to pay $2,000 for it? We stayed for the main show and at about 9:45, the show ended and everyone left.Think about this: There are tens of thousands of people if not hundreds of thousands on the beach, which means a lot of cars for a small town, so leaving ASAP is absolutely necessary. Rather than having the traffic lights on or using stop signs, the police turn off the traffic lights and use flag men. This just makes matters ever worse. We were stuck in our car for about an hour in the same place because of that. You might think that we were stuck there because the flagmen were moving a busier street, well you're wrong. We looked at the intersection and the flagmen and cops we doing nothing. What were they thinking? Traffic lights are meant to fix this problem. We left the next day to never return. This eight year tradition has been crushed by the authority who took the law too far. Pismo Beach, which used to be a good get away for the 4th of July has turned into a dump. Do NOT go to Pismo Beach. How do you feel about this? Do you think we should have been left off with a warning? Do you think it was a good idea for flagmen to take over the intersections? Do you think the action used by the authorities were good or bad? I would really like to know your opinion. PLEASE COMMENT OR MAKE A VIDEO RESPONSE. Thank you very much for your time!HIGH QUALITY: Add &fmt=18 at the end of the URL.
