Dec 5, 2008 - All good bands, I like some newer stuff as well, Nile and Aeon are good, also Bloodbath. The thing I dislike about newer death metal is some bands over complicate their music and it just seems like they are just trying to hard (i.e. Brain Drill) if they would just chill the fuck out and write an audible riff and not blast beat throughout an entire song. Faster and more technical doesn't make it more brutal or heavy. My problem with dying fetus is that they pretty much helped invent slam-death...

Dec 5, 2008 - I don't understand why people fucking worship Necrophagist. Their songs are just so annoying and the riffs are just a circus. Their guitars are way to clean to be death metal, don't get me wrong they are excellent musicians and all, but if I want technical death metal I stick to Decapitated or old Cryptopsy.

Personally, I'm not much into much of today's current bands. I'm also not into bands like Deeds Of Flesh, Skinless and Brain Drill. No offense but that's not my cup of tea. I'm more into bands like Nile, Aeon, Divine Empire, Mithras
