Here is Imam GhazaliIn The Revival Of The Religious Sciences (importance of the references go to [2]) Ghazali defines the woman's role:- She should stay at home and get on with her spinning- She can go out only in emergencies.- She must not be well-informed nor must she be communicative with her neighbors and only visit them when absolutely necessary.- She should take care of her husband and respect him in his presence and his absence and seek to satisfy him in everything. [3.1] [6]- She must not leave her house without his permission and if given his permission she must leave secretly.- She should put on old clothes and take deserted streets and alleys, avoid markets, and make sure that a stranger does not hear her voice, her footsteps, smell her or recognize her.- She must not speak to a friend of her husband even in need.- Her sole worry should be her "al bud" (reproductive organs) her home as well as her prayers and her fast (starvation for Allah).- If a friend of her husband calls when her husband is absent she must not open the door nor reply to him in order to safeguard her "al bud".- She should accept what her husband gives her as sufficient sexual needs at any moment.- She should be clean and ready to satisfy her husband's sexual needs at any moment.http://www.chowk.com/articles/4943

Jul 27, 2008 - Again, you make such a claim with no evid. May I suggest that you look at the formation of laws - most commerce classes spend the first term talking about the origins of laws - and how they have evolved based on religions and cultural traditions, and the gradual move away from religion and culture being the basis to the rights of the individual which was a side effect of the protestant reformation where the final authority moved from the hierarchy of the Catholic church to that of the individual

Jul 28, 2008 - Take a west civ class and read your post again
kaiwaig Says:
Jul 28, 2008 - Then you don't have a clue. Remain clueless, its your choice. Don't waste my time with your ignorance and unwilling to engage in a fruitful debate. Calling me names doesn't prove a thing, it just proves that you can't be bothered addressing the issues I have put forward.

Jul 28, 2008 - first of all everyone should know that one of the Founders of the WhyIslam prject a member of ICNA was a victim and passed away in the 9/11 terror attacks!!and secondly Imam Siraj Wahaj was not convicted and there were 3 degrees of uncertinty about him being tied with those attacks the US atourney said "maybe possibly allegedly siraj wahaj is one of the 170 Unendieted co-conspiritors".FOX plays out islam or anything they disagre with as people trying to destroy america!watch CNN much better!

Jul 28, 2008 - Still doesn't change their extremist affiliations. To use them as advisers would be as despicable as a Christian movement using Fred Phelps as a representative of Christianity. As for news channels, I tend to watch BBC, or multiple news websites; normally I like to see a couple of different perspectives on a matter besides just referencing particular news outlet. I tend to find that news outlets leave out parts that others might include in their stories.
extempers Says:
Jul 28, 2008 - You call this a fruitful debate?Read your post again. Take a history class. The formation of laws is based through the Protestant mold? Are you serious?
extempers Says:
Jul 28, 2008 - You haven't said anything to address. Say something of value and I'll respond. Talking out of your behind and hinting at fake evidence does not constitute empiricial evidence.
extempers Says:
Jul 28, 2008 - blah blah blah I read websites and think I understand Islam blah blah blah white power. There are plenty of mosques in New Zealand. It takes guts to say these things in person. If you are speaking the truth, go try it.
extempers Says:
Jul 28, 2008 - ICNA has extremist affiliations? roflHave you read the history of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr?Time and again unfounded accusations were made to be recorded as a reference point to further the foundation of deceit based upon false premises. And this crap is used as evidence so ignorant zealots like you can foam at the mouth.I'm done on this video, no more attention for you.Go talk to Muslims in real life
kaiwaig Says:
Jul 28, 2008 - So like another typical Muslim, you can't debate, so you make up things as you go along.
kaiwaig Says:
Jul 28, 2008 - I have actually. You can take you sharia law and cram it.
kaiwaig Says:
Jul 28, 2008 - Who said laws were based on the protestant reformation? I certainly made no suggestion.
sunriseast77 Says:
Aug 7, 2008 - You are right in that Islam is viewed as a complete way of life by Muslims, but there are also many Christians in the West that feel the same way about their faith which is why questions related to faith are still hot buttons in the public political sphere (ie. abortion, gay rights, prayer in school) Still it is possible for muslims to practice their faith outside of a muslim govt in which case some aspects of sharia would not be applicable. but what is the fear?
kaiwaig Says:
Aug 7, 2008 - The number of Christians like that are few and far between, you'll find that those who do speak about 'pray in school' are the same people who want school vouchers to that they can send their child to religion based schools and get it subsidised - in New Zealand they are referred to as "schools with a special character". The problem is that Islam does not allow one to practice their faith in isolation - Islam is a complete way of life which demands that Sharia law in all its aspects - social,
kaiwaig Says:
Aug 7, 2008 - economic and political to be introduced and enforced. A state of sharia law would make all non-Muslims second class citizens, would be a death sentence to any person from the GLBT community. That is the problem, until Muslims renounce all the aspects outside that of the spiritual realm, their religion will be looked at with suspicion. Christianity made that giant leap from trying to recreate the Acts of the apostles at the state level, it is time for Muslims to stop trying to bring Shria law.
sunriseast77 Says:
Aug 7, 2008 - The law can only be enforced by a governing body (top down). So Muslims who live under non-Muslim governments can only practice aspects of their faith that pertain to personal and sometimes social matters. so what's the fear?
kaiwaig Says:
Aug 7, 2008 - The fact that as the grow in numbers they'll start demanding sharia law and then undermine the rights of minority groups. Btw, don't scream democracy - because democracy is more than just 'majority rules'.
sunriseast77 Says:
Aug 7, 2008 - How exactly will they grow in numbers? By posters on a subway? You're concerned that a significant amount of people will convert based on that p.r. effort?
kaiwaig Says:
Aug 7, 2008 - Immigration, indoctrination and half truths being exported about Islam; if you're a Muslim, why don't you be honest with the 'kafur' over your true intentions? the fact that if you're a non-Muslim - you're considered a worthless sack of shit in the eyes of Muslims and Sharia law.
sunriseast77 Says:
Aug 8, 2008 - Immigration, yes. Indoctrination, perhaps. Half truths, not likely. Now of course your twisted perception of Islam as vile and despicable is foreign to 99.99% of Muslims. Kafur does not translate to Non-Muslim but rather one who recognizes but rejects the truth. Non-Muslims such as Jews and Christians are actually praised as 'People of the Book' and they're given autonomy is classical Islamic societies to have their own social framework within the Islamic govt. (ie Muslim Spain)...
sunriseast77 Says:
Aug 8, 2008 - I don't consider any non-Muslims worthless nor am I instructed to do so by my Faith. God sent down the Torah and Gospel through Moses and Jesus and the communities that follow them will be judged by God--not me. Allah only warns them not make gods out of their rabbis, priests, Mary, or Jesus.
sunriseast77 Says:
Aug 8, 2008 - "...and nearest amongst them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, 'We are Christians' because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant. (The Noble Quran, 5:82)"
sunriseast77 Says:
Aug 8, 2008 - "Say: 'O People of the Book (i.e., Jews and Christians)! Come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than God.' If then they turn back, say ye: 'Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).' (The Noble Quran, 3:64)" We are taught to preach and dialogue and only fight when fought against but to make peace whenever possible
sunriseast77 Says:
Aug 8, 2008 - Study the spread of Islam into sub saharan Africa, India, China, etc... it was through the influence of honest merchants and missionary efforts that Islam was embraced by these huge populations.
kaiwaig Says:
Jul 27, 2008 - You want a 'us vs. them' mentality through the reign of terrorism you have launched on the west with your false religion, paedophile prophet and superstitious mumbo-jumbo about dates protecting one from magic and poison, sun setting in a muddy puddle and people being born from blood clots.
