Chapter 17- Stephanie walked to her car and was about to put her key in the lock to open the door when someone tapped on her shoulder. She jumped and then turned around to see Aaron standing over her once again. "What, are you stalking me now?" Aaron smiled and then got closer to Stephanie, which made her nervous. "No, I just wanted to say that I'm glad we met. You're like the only girl today who wasn't staring at me: which was really annoying. I don't see why any girl would have a reason to stare..." Stephanie rolled her eyes and then looked back at him. "Aaron, you're hot, that's why." After she said that she wanted to take it back. She didn't want to give Aaron a reason to think that she was into him. Joe was the only guy she wanted: and no one, not even Aaron, could change that. Aaron smiled at Stephanie again and then got even closer. Stephanie had to take a step back to avoid coming in contact with him. "So a beautiful girl like yourself thinks I'm hot, huh?" Aaron kept stepping closer to Stephanie to the point where she was practically on top of her car, just to avoid him. "Um...yes...I mean...no...I mean..." Stephanie didn't know what to say. Finally, when Stephanie couldn't back up anymore, Aaron smirked and got as close as he could to her. This made Stephanie so uncomfortable, she felt her palms start to sweat. "Stephanie, relax, why are you so nervous around me? We're friends right? Don't you trust me?" Stephanie saw the look of mischief in his eyes: he had something up his sleeve. Stephanie got herself together and looked back at Aaron for the first time. "I'm not nervous, what makes you think that?" "If your nails could dig any further into the side of your car, it would be dented." Stephanie immediately took her hands from the car and crossed them in front of her: which was hard to do since Aaron was standing so close. Aaron smiled at her reaction and went to lean in, but Stephanie leaned back over her car. "Aaron...I..." But he wasn't listening, he was leaning further in and she was leaning further back. Then, when she couldn't bend backwards anymore, she braced herself for whatever Aaron was going to do next. Then, as she felt his lips almost touch hers, her phone rang. "Um...I have to take this..." Aaron smiled and stepped away from Stephanie, giving her breathing room. Stephanie caught her breath and answered the phone. When she heard whose voice it was: she immediately was relieved. Joe had saved her from Aaron and his lip attack. "Hey Stephanie I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today after you got home cuz I really have to tell you something." "Yah, sure Joe. I'll be right over." Stephanie said Joe's name louder and clearer than the rest of the sentence. She wanted to make sure Aaron understood that she had no interest in kissing him back and how she was offended that he would even try. After talking to him practically all day, she thought that he wouldn't be the time to just throw himself at a girl: especially since he had a purity ring on. Stephanie got off the phone with Joe and turned back to Aaron who was still smiling. She was angry and she wanted to slap that smile right off his face. "Listen: you will never touch me again. I don't like you, I will never like you, and if you think I like you, you are mistaken. So if you don't mind I am going to get in my car, drive away, and leave you here." Stephanie stepped towards her car and felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to see Aaron standing close to her again. She tried to struggle out of his grip but he just smiled at her. Finally, after a couple of minutes, Aaron bent down and kissed Stephanie on the cheek. Then, he let go of her and walked away with a smirk on his face. Stephanie was so mad she thought that people might see steam coming from her head. Great, now I have a stalker, she thought to herself. After she calmed down, Stephanie got into her car and drove to Joe's house: wondering what he wanted to say to her.[Song: Hold On Artist: Jonas Brothers]
