Jul 18, 2008 - Is this video old? Why bother re-posting it?

Jul 18, 2008 - I can agree with this.

Jul 19, 2008 - To claim there is some physical form of mental illness associated with theism, without having done a study that specifically showed this, is over the top - yes.To refer to it as delusional is a separate thing though. Also - when atheists refer to 'faith' as behaving like a virus, it's in a 'software' sense. That said - for all we know the brain may well create physical structures that match their long term beliefs.
Yankeezcap Says:
Jul 19, 2008 - it would be better say "nature vs. nurture" sense than a "software" sense.software sounds a bit impersonal, and the readers of your comment may think that your throwing buzz words to make them feel stupid.not trying to be a dick, just saying it's better it in a way they'll easily get.
neuronstorm Says:
Jul 19, 2008 - Mm.. well 'nature vs nurture' doesn't quite match what I meant. The software analogy is I'm sure a pretty rough one - as most analogies are... but considering certain modes of thought as if you are 'running some piece of software' doesn't particularly say anything about whether it was always in your nature to run that sort of software or if it required special nurturing in order to accept it, or whether or not it's associated with any physical change in the brain.
Yankeezcap Says:
Jul 19, 2008 - I wasn't trying to say what your saying is wrong in any way(was actually completely right)I was just saying if you say it that way then they may not figure it out most of the time.I would have done better to say you should explain "software" to them now that I think about it.

Jul 24, 2008 - No one thinks all theist are delusional, nor does anyone think all atheists do not have delusions. And anyone who does think this, is delusional themselves. PS I am an atheist, but do not try to take the moral high ground when both sides attack each other in very very very similar ways.
Arrada101 Says:
Aug 1, 2008 - I'm not athiest, christian, muslim, hindu, nor do i worship any form of any "desert god". I believe in other gods, does that make me wrong? Does it make ME delusional? I'm asking this man, who's videos i find annoying and in most cases, intolerant. You don't like drama? You are a big ball of drama...tangled in your own insanity.

Jul 18, 2008 - All humans suffer from mild delusions. Theists are no exception. Neither are atheists. It's how these inform a person's attitude toward their fellow human beings that is much more important in my opinion.
