ERSCHIENEN IST DER HERRLICH TAG (1988) Jeffrey BossinDas Carillon am Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin-Tiergarten ist ein großes, von Hand gespieltes Konzertglockenspiel mit 68 Glocken, einem Gesamtgewicht von 48 Tonnen und einem Tonumfang von 5 1/2 vollchromatischen Oktaven. Die größte Glocke wiegt 7,8 Tonnen. Es wurde von der Gießerei Koninklijke Eijsbouts nach den Spezifikationen von Jeffrey Bossin gebaut und ist eins der größten Instrumente dieser Art in Europa. Der Carillonneur sitzt in einer Spielkabine zwischen den Glocken und spielt mit Füßen und geballten Fäusten auf einem Stockspieltisch. Die rein mechanische Traktur ermöglicht dem Carillonneur ein nuanciertes Spiel mit allen dynamischen Abstufungen zwischen laut und leise.Der Berliner Carillonneur Jeffrey Bossin leitet CarillonConcertsBerlin und konzertiert auf dem Carillon am Haus der Kulturen der Welt an den hohen Feiertagen und an jedem Sonntag von Anfang Mai bis Ende September um 15 und im Dezember um 14 Uhr. B. mittels einer Walze) gespielt werden können (vgl. Glockenspiel (Spieluhr)). Die World Carillon Federation (WCF) verlangt von einem Carillon, dass es über mindestens 23 Glocken (zwei Oktaven) verfügt und die Glocken direkt von einem Spieltisch mittels Seilzügen angeschlagen werden können.The Carillon in Berlin-Tiergarten is located in a free-standing tower next to the House of World Cultures ("Haus der Kulturen der Welt") and near the Chancellery in the northeastern part of Berlin's central Tiergarten park. It is a large manually played concert instrument composed of 68 bells, weighing a total of 48 metric tonnes and connected to a keyboard spanning 5 1/2 fully chromatic octaves. The largest bell weighs 7.8 tonnes. The carillon was cast by the Royal Dutch foundry Eijsbouts according to the specifications of Carillonneur Jeffrey Bossin. It is one of the largest instruments of its kind in Europe and approximately the fourth largest (by number of bells) in the world. The carillonneur sits in a playing cabin in the middle of the bells and plays with his fists and feet on a baton-and-pedal keyboard. The purely mechanical action makes it possible to play all dynamic gradations from very soft to very loud.
